Picture of Heath Streak former Zimbabwe cricket captain. (used in my political poster, as if to show disapproval of Mugabe and the way he has destroyed the country).
Basically we had to create a photo essay using photoshop and flash. My idea was to do a 'Day In A Life Of Going To The Footy'! Telling a story using photos I had taken for the day, which included going to the game, arriving at the ground, the action inside the ground and leaving for home. Most pictures were taken using my camera.
About Poster & Typographic Assignment
Being a great lover of my sports & cricket, I decided for these assignments to keep to the theme.
For these assignments i decided to take it upon myself to make a political poster on Robert Mugabe & Zimbabwe.
A man who has taken over the country and as a result of his inhumane acts has destroyed the lives of many people and because of this has also effected all sports in Zimbabwe, especially cricket.
the poster portrays the dark side of Mugabe and the disgruntled and anguished looks of former Zimbabwe cricket captain Heath Streak as he and many other cricketers rebelled against the Mugabe regime thus destroying the image of cricket in the country.
About Machine Assignment
I've often been described as a musically and sporty gifted person.
For all the people around me who know me they know me as having music and sporting skills.
Without music in my everyday life I have nothing that inspires me to get me through the days.
Without Sport (especially AFL & Cricket), I have no other big acheivments and goals to set for myslef.
Which is why for my machine self-portraite I have built a machine of myself made up of
music and sporting equipment which best describes myself.
Unfortunatley another big aspect that does effect me in life and especially of late has been the injuries.
I'm very injury prone as the people who know me know all too well.
The background used in my portraite is a back-drop of the MCG, when it had been reconstructed. A part of the stand missing.
At the moment with a serius shoulder injury that has affected me feels exactly like that. As if a part of me is missing.
